Patchwork Quilts

My unfinished quilt

I have always loved patchwork quilts especially vintage quilts from America.  I spend many a happy evening looking on ebay at quilts for sale, some of the Amish ones are particularly amazing.  The detail and time spent on each quilt gives each one a character of its own and so I decided that I would take the plunge and make one of my own.  Let me just state now I have basically no skill or knowledge in this department but I thought that the best way to learn something is to just do it!  So here is my offering so far, it is going to be fairly simple in comparison with the wonderful American creations but oh well it's a start.
